Review & Description

Puzzle mugs were first made by the Greeks in the second century BC. Tavern joke jugs were very popular during the 17th to early 19th centuries in Europe. The puzzle is to figure which holes to cover {obvious & hidden ones} and which holes to sip from. By simply holding this mug comfortably in the correct hand and sipping from the right hole, any beverage can be enjoyed without spilling. Each mug stands about 8" high and holds a 1/2 liter of your favorite beverage. The standard glaze color is shown above on left. The other glaze colors are seasonally available. If you wish one of the seasonal colors, write the glaze color you would rather have in the Order Notes section of the shopping cart, during checkout. These are high-fire stoneware mugs and are microwave/dishwasher/oven/food safe and uses lead-free glazes.
